Warranty and Returns

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

Lumi Lighting warrants that all products comply with Lumi Lighting's published specifications and are free from defects in materials and workmanship for the period provided on the product specification sheet.

NO WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS MADE OR IS TO BE IMPLIED. IN NO EVENT SHALL LUMI LIGHTING BE LIABLE FOR ANY OTHER COSTS OR DAMAGES INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

Installation must be performed by a qualified and licensed electrician. The warranty will not apply if the product is installed by other than a licensed electrician. Problems arising from incorrect installation are not covered by warranty. The cost of repairs and/or service call arising from incorrect installation, not due to faulty material or workmanship in accordance with the Lumi Lighting warranty, will be payable by the purchaser at the time of repair.

This warranty is only valid for products used according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This warranty does not apply to failures caused by acts of God or as a result of any improper storage or installation, abuse, misuse, abnormal use, or use in violation of any applicable recommendations of Lumi Lighting or any standard, code or instructions for use in installations.

Warranty will only be provided where proof of qualified electrical installation is provided. Eg. Electrical Safety Certificate.

The manufacturer will not accept in-home expenses unless authorisation is granted in writing prior to work commencing. Where a service call is undertaken and no fault is found with the product, or where the fault is not covered under the terms of this warranty, a call-out fee may be charged.

WARRANTY

The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to all implied warranties, other rights and remedies in respect of the product, which the consumer has under Australian Consumer Law.

The original purchaser of this product is provided with the following warranty subject to the following conditions.

Any listed warranty is in addition to any other rights and remedies of the customer under any law. In applications not intended for household, personal or domestic use, liability is limited to replacement or reimbursement of product only. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Any claim under this warranty must be made within the listed timeframe of the date of purchase of the product. To make a claim under the warranty, please contact us on 1300LIGHTS. You will be asked to provide proof of purchase – receipt or similar. Please make sure you have these available to ensure a speedy resolution.

REMEDY

If a Lumi Lighting product fails due to defects in materials or workmanship within the warranty period, then Lumi Lighting will, at its option, either (1) provide a credit to Purchaser equal to the current price Lumi Lighting charges the Purchaser for the product, or (2) provide a free replacement product to the Purchaser. This warranty applies only to Lumi Lighting products that have been properly wired and installed and operated within the electrical values shown on the product specification.

RETURNS POLICY

Lumi Lighting will accept products back into stock that are no longer required in accordance with the below policy. To arrange a return, please call 1300 LIGHTS.

This policy only applies to Lumi Lighting’s standard stock items. Non-stocked or custom items are not covered by this policy. Please see your original contract or purchase order for return policy if your order falls outside of standard stock items.

Any item which we have designated as a custom item cannot be returned due to change of mind. However, valid warranty claims will be honoured. Any item returned under a warranty claim will be inspected to verify the claim. Please see details listed within the 'Warranty Conditions' and 'Warranty' headings above.

The following list shows the returns policy from date of product delivery to the customer/project location. Please note that for change of mind, delivery of items to Lumi Lighting is at the expense of the customer. Items must be returned in original condition and packaging.

 

<1 month: full refund

1 - 3 months: any returns will attract a 15% restocking fee

3 - 6 months: any returns will attract a 30% restocking fee

6 - 12 months: any returns will attract a 50% restocking fee

After 12 months: returns are not accepted
